The Rebel Alliance, desperate to see the Empire crumble for their war-crimes that spread on an unimaginable scale, fight on-wards to see their cause complete, at whatever the cost. So when Bothan Spies receive information about a new Star Destroyer being developed, it would be no surprise that the Rebel Alliance would want to retrieve and exploit as much information on it to the best of their ability. A Rebel Alliance espionage team, consisting of 7 able fighters under the name of Grim Seven, were deployed on Tatooine to gather as much information as possible, and weren't surprised about how long it took to piece together the information on the plan's development location. The lengthy time had paid off, and the team sent themselves once again to a mid-rim planet under the name of Housun, a mix between urbanised landscapes to dense forests and mountains secretly under the control of an Imperial Fleet. Due to it being controlled via incognito standards, a small team was predicted to be able in completing a retrieval mission. Those predictions were wrong. A suspected traitor amongst the ranks of the Rebel Alliance spouted information of the Rebel's plans to steal the documents and potentially sabotage the facility, resulting in the team seemingly disappearing from existence within an instant. No word came through of their whereabouts, or current status, and remained like such for days to come. But after a month of confusion and unanswered questions, a file began to be sent to a Rebel General's personal databank. Before the file was completely sent, its remainder data was cancelled, making the file corrupted. After opening the file, the Rebel Alliance were greeted by a holographic message from Jy' Naheem, one of the members of Grim Seven, that began to spout out the success of the mission. However, due to the file's corruption, the message was cut off relatively early through its playback, and key points were seemingly still unanswered; but this provided the Rebel Alliance with a place to start. Knowing that the plans could still potentially be within their own hands, the Alliance began to become determined towards retrieving the plans, and potentially the original team if possible. Whether or not the information was still correct was uncertain, and a gamble between only failure and victory was juggled in the hands of the Council. After debates ended, a platoon of 54 Rebel Fighters were gathered in preparation for beginning a search for these plans, beginning with a dangerous place to start... By that, I don't mean a total defeat, but on the scale of a significant battleground. The situation that is the focus is the platoon under designation 'Forest V'. 54 Strong during the start of their mission, this platoon will grow, shrink and merge alongside other Rebellion Platoons as the story continues, as this is their story of how they were sent on a mission that was expected to be swift, only to turn into a deadly battleground and finally resulting in a significant victory for the Galactic Empire. Forest V is a force made up of volunteers from Rebels from both Yavin IV and Ethora with the soul objective to retrieve the plans for the new Imperial Superweapon, the Hailfire Star Destroyer, a new battleship looking to be implemented amongst the Empire's Fleet. The second objective of this team is to extract or find leads towards Grim Seven, the original team used on the mission, in order to gather the information if possible. Made up of able fighters of different backgrounds, specialities and roles, they come as a capable force for the mission as predicted by the council. The force itself consists of 8 pilots, 2 captains and 44 specialised rebel troopers, and were predicted to be one of the most well-composed battle groups for planetary espionage and recovery upon construction. When it comes to their individual rankings, we have their specialisations. The Rebel Troopers of this Force consist of, at minimum, combat efficient users. Some have had more experience than others. Many of the troopers volunteered off of wanting to play a role in the major movement of the Rebellion, whilst some did it knowing they had the experience. A balance between the old and young is very common amongst the Rebels, as of this force. All of the troopers are equipped for basic combat, and can operate well in generalised firefights and battle situations, but each one has their own advantage and disadvantage based on what they were trained as. The specialisations follow as...
Most uniforms differ based upon the Environment. Please revise uniform types for a full list. The weaponry they hold can differ amongst a vast range of mid-range to close-range firearms, though generally spanning across the A280 Blaster Rifle, stolen E11 Blaster Rifles and the uncommon S-2F Blaster Rifle. They act as mixed-use infantry, and are the most adaptable for situations. They wear the standardised Rebel uniform for their environment, including lighter and less practical editions of the Rebel Marine attire. They can be armed with small explosives, such as thermal detonators.

Roles and Equipment Though they strictly act and work alongside the general Rebel Troopers, and hold a far fancier name than then, they act very much the same as to their regular rifleman accompaniment. The difference in uniform comes alongside the waist pouches and chest harness for carrying grenades. The Alliance Grenadiers offer the support via explosions, getting their hands on more ranged equipment. They have access to larger quantities of thermal detonators, smoke grenades, impact grenades and, though it is a rare find, thermal imploders. Elite members of this classification, as well as certain newer recruits, can sometimes be fitted with a Clone-War Era MGL-1 explosive ordnance launcher, either in a configuration for Ion rounds against vehicles, or standard thermal detonation rounds for infantry. To make them useful in situations, they are only ever fitted with the standard A280 Rebel Blaster Rifle.

Roles and Equipment Rebel Marksmen are aren't a forgiving opposition, and are known to be trained in strictly following orders. Used in the past for assassinations, they are now deployed onto the frontlines for support, as well as reinforcing infantry. Their attire is lighter than the rifleman and grenadier's by far, and sometimes uses sheets of fabric for extra camouflage material. Their clothing usually is more patterned than the regular infantryman, which can have the downsides of outlining them amongst a group and can potentially make them a higher target. Every marksman is trained to use the DLT-20A Blaster Rifle, which can sometimes limit their capabilities with weapons. To combat their usefulness up on the frontlines, as afar is never always an option, they are fitted with an SE-14R Light-Repeating Blaster Pistol. Lay down the fire on the opposition. They come in two forms: The Support Repeater and the Support Heavy. Both use similar uniforms, both of which consist of slightly plated variants of rifleman uniforms, to combat their expected returning fire. The Support Repeater is fitted with a DLT-19 Repeater Blaster, whilst the Support Heavy uses a slower firing, but hard-hitting T-21 Heavy Blaster. Due to the sheer size of their equipment, they are not supplied with any secondary blaster. However, their weapons, especially for a repeater variant, is seen as useful in frontline engagements as well, due to its speed and capabilities of fire-rate.

Roles and Equipment Rebel Alliance Combat Engineers are the technical support behind everything on the frontlines. Varying from vehicle maintenance to temporary electronic deployments, they ensure that everything is working when it needs to be. Kitted out in a way that could be mistaken for regular infantry, they are only independent based on their back-wear, and waist-tool belt. These provide essential materials including fusion cutters, basic hammers and spare electronic wiring. They too are armed with an A280 Blaster Rifle.

Roles and Equipment Specialists in many close combat situations, as well as mid-to-long range engagements, these soldiers were brought up to fight from ship to ship, and make deployments from the sky to the ground. Though, within Forest V, they cannot operate as a full marine, they act as specialised infantry and differ from their regular counterpart, though work very similarly. Using closer range weaponry, though they do work at range, many Alliance Marines are equipped with the DH-17 Blaster Pistol or the DT-57 Heavy Blaster Pistol. Their armour is usually covered with a tactical vest for small utilities and armaments, but their uniform only changes colour rather than a notable style, making them slightly less useful in guerrilla warfare.

Roles and Equipment The Rebel Vanguards are a mixture between the demolitions and standard riflemen as a reinforcement and adapted unit. They provide light grenade and explosive support, less than a grenadier, but also do more specified tasks than a rifleman. Known for having access to Remote Detonation charges, as well as Imperial Thermal Detonators and Mini-Cluster Detonators, the Vanguard splits amongst the units as an inbred of two specified Forest V units. They usually wear a uniform like the marines, see image above for specified uniform, and only change their uniform colour rather than any other specified details, minus low temperature upgrades. Their weaponry includes, again, the A280 Blaster Rifle.

Roles and Equipment Also known as Rebel Rocket Troopers, these are the anti-vehicular and large unit demolitions experts, who brandish another plated rebel uniform, much like the Support Gunners. They usually wear a stronger helmet, as they are sometimes open to marksmen headshots from their exposure during attacks. As for their weaponry, they brandish either a Smart Missile Launcher or the heavier HH-15 Missile Launcher. Anti-Personnel and Anti-Vehicular mines are also equipped, as well as various explosive grenades. As a secondary, the Heavy Unit utilises an SSK-7 Heavy Blaster Pistol.

Roles and Equipment Rebel Support Units vary on their use. They can either come in the form of a Combat Medic, radio operator or stationary gunner, and vary in their specialised equipment. Radio operators and Medics are similar in uniform, and are notable from either equipment on their body or patches on their sleeves. All three are generally armed with an A280 Blaster Rifle, minus the Medic who would hold a SE-14R Repeating Blaster Pistol.
Rebel Pilots and Officers can be made as side characters, though Pilot Main Characters may also be available if brought up with me and discussed how it will effect and be used well within the RP.
The Force of Forest V are spread amongst three separate ships that have been donated from the Alliance itself for the task. Small pods that can carry up to six soldiers are fitted either side, 2x2, for quick deployment if need be. As the main escort and defence for the cruisers, the Alliance handed them the Imperial-stolen YE-4 Gunship, known as the Deacon. This is their main transport, before the entire Rebel Fleet eventually get themselves involved. This story is most likely going to end in death. A lot of death. Characters die, mid-rp and at the end. This is a failure after-all, just a gradual one. Though characters can survive, it'd be based upon personal decisions made throughout the story, rather than a selection process. Who knows...Maybe everyone dies...Or no one? The CS below can be customised to however you please, just as long as the necessary information is inside it. This Roleplay may include some, hopefully, dark themes when the trend of defeat kicks in, as well as minor gore. As it is character driven, relationships of hatred or love can develop as long as they are reasonable. It means that the narration will be driven on further, so the differences and similarities between one another will strongly affect how the Roleplay goes and what happens to the non-player characters, as well as eventually the real characters themselves. Any questions are to be brought to me, and I hope that we can all enjoy this roleplay like I hope I want to!
