[@luckyblackcat] Just a quick attempt to answer your question: contests are yet to be drawn up and implemented, but I don't believe gyms will be. In the "future," or "New World," Pokecorp runs things. However, [@balthazar007] may be able to fill you in on more details when he comes on (as well as correct any mistakes in my take xD)
