[color=gray]“‘Go up in rank,’””[/color] Leisy repeated, eyes wide. She’d completely forgotten about trainer ranks, having been too caught up in the events of the previous few days. 

So much had happened — she’d caught four, arguably five, Pokemon and met many a trainer. In the face of everything, ranking up seemed so insignificant, but Leisy’s brain told her that such wasn’t true. Ranking up would open new doors — she’d be able to evolve Pokemon with evolution shards, catch stronger Pokemon with Great Balls, purchase more efficient potions like Super Potions. All of these doors would be open to her when she caught her sixth Pokemon, and it was a scary thought. 

[color=gray]“I—I think I need some time. And some sleep,”[/color] Leisy said with a tired smile, signing into the Pokemon Center with her Pokedex. [color=gray]“See you in the morning? And yes, I do think we’ll be needing that training.”[/color]

Once in her room, Leisy took a quick shower in the rather worn-looking bathroom. After she'd finished, Leisy looked at the five Pokeballs she’d set on top of the bedside drawer, a pensive frown on her face. [i]Time really is moving fast huh. I guess… I guess I should step up my game as well.[/i]

Drying her hair off with a towl, Leisy plopped into bed and turned the light off, turning onto her side to stare at the five red caps glistening in the moonlight until she fell asleep.
