Aw man. Really? I found an awesome piece of concept art of someone playing videogames in space and I thought it'd be hella cool to try and expand on that for their backstory. You're sure? Not even like civilian space stations, moon bases or asteroid mining?
For the most part I feel it’ll just complicate a side of things that isn’t really necessary. If I were to accept the concept I’d have to accommodate it and I don’t feel like that side of things is really necessary— the story is essentially based on those in an augmented reality and their lives beyond it are additional aspects of character lore but not much beyond that. I’ll respond to your PM in a few minutes as well. But ultimately I just don’t see it being essential to the point I need to accommodate it in.
Question: Do my dances (buffs and debuffs) enter in mental or physical benchmarks or they are just skills?
Magic is inherently mental, but it depends how you interpret things. I’d imagine your focus in said magics would correlate with either. Take a look at how I used benchmarks to define Rael’s skillset in the character tab as an example of what I’m trying to frame as an example. Keep in mind I want more benchmarks and passive skills than activated ones.
Ha, looks like our characters will fit pretty well together, then! I'm making a necromancer who uses music to summon the undead to do her bidding, or buff herself and allies. And also smacks people with her violin sometimes (but not if she can help it).
A very interesting way to interpret a Bard-type character. My interest is piqued.
What exactly do you mean when you say "monster knowledge"? Do they hunt them, study them or tame them?
They probably mean knowledge in a general sense— such skills fall in line with characters who study habits, diets, and so forth of creatures to better estimate how to deal with them or handle them in general. It’s a skill that I will definitely incorporate.
