Callie
location: Cedar Ash inn

Callie placed the phone back down neatly as Quinton hung up, turning to face the young girl who was struggling to subdue a pup that weighed near as much as she did. Callie smiled, watching her for a moment. The wolf-dog pup tugged and pulled against Abigale's grip, gently as if he knew the young girl was breakable. Or would be very breakable if she wasn't a born werewolf. Callie's charms had alerted her to what the Father and daughter were, even though the werewolf gene was dormant in Abigale, when they had first arrived, and it had been easy to tell that Quinton at least knew she was a witch by her scent, which did have a characterist redwood scent that came from spelling, which all witches certainly had. Warlocks didn't have a strong redwood scent, just one of the many ways that you could distingush Witches and Warlocks. They had an unspoken agreement, to not discuss what either were, and it worked. Quinton found in her someone who could watch his child when he could not, and Callie certainly enjoyed the girls company. She watched her for a few moments, before saying "Alright, sweetpea, time for bed. Your father just called to say he will see you tomorrow and that he loves you. Lets get up to your room" She clicked her figers, and stared at the wolf dog, who stared back, but then looked away. Pleased, Callie nodded to Abigale, "With wolf-dogs, especially the pups, you have to assert your dominance, kind of like with the alpha of the pack with their betas" She said, gently putting that reminder of pack hierachy in the young girls head, nudging both Abigale and Remus up the stairs. The young pup had difficulty manuvering the stairs, but Callie nudged him along patiently, letting the pup figure out how to climb them as he bounded after Abigale, ungraceful but mastering, for the time being, the stairs. Helping Abigale into the bed, Callie did give Remus a lift up, watching as the pup curled up against Abigale, his eyes watching Callie. Tucking Abigale in, she turned to go, looking back at the young girl as she went to shut the door, the wolf-dog pups eyes glowing. Between the two of them, nothing would be harming the child. Nodding to Remus, Callie left the room, going back downstairs, she used a diabetic finger stick-something she had to pretend to purchase for a diabetic relative-and massaged three drops of blood onto the back of a wooden amulet, tucking it over her head and under her shirt. It was essentially a charm that would help to detect a threat, and as Callie stuck her finger in her mouth, she made sure that the place was looked up. The very recent wolf attacks had her on edge, and Callie glanced towards her private kitchen, her spelling kitchen-it wasn't good to mix spelling prep and food prep-wondering if she should make a few more charms. Perhaps something a little offensive, rather then defensive? Although her sleepy-time potions worked well, it could be a pain landing them. She shook her head, knowing she was well stocked. Checking everything, she sat down with the phone, flicking the television on, waiting for another call from Quinton.

Connor
Location: Sky lakes medical centre

As the man Connor had seen around, that hee was sure was a wolf...too approached, bringing him over to the pink haired girl, Connor hesitated, looking to the ambulance that had approached, and the pink haired girl, standing there with indecision closing his thoughts. He glanced up to the moon, his eyes blinking. He decided he disliked the moon, very much. Looking back at the sound of commotion, Connor moved away quickly just in time to avoid the flying paramedic. He crouched, gaze flicking about for the cause of the flying healer, landing on the girl in the back of the ambulance. His heart almost stopped before giving a massive squeeze, its beat inceasing. It was her. The girl he hadn't been stalking-okay, so he had watched her in the food store, and yeah, offered her a ride when she seemed lost. But he so totally hadn't been stalking her. The pink haired girl forgotten a moment, Connor watched the girl as she grabbed another medic by the neck. the scent of blood wafted over to him, he growled, the sound low in the back of his throat. He glanced down at his own furry body, realising what was happening. It had been her there, at the site. Shifted much like he was. A thrill sparked through Connor, and even as he heard hurried footsteps, and a cry of "Hey, calm down" behind him, he launched himself into the back of the ambulance, probably giving the paramedic currently being held a second heart attack at the sudden presence of a wolf, although maybe the man was just hoping he was a large dog. Connor padded towards the girl, and without a single thought, he using the gurney to help rise himself, licked her cheek, managing to accidently brush his wet nose against her ear, quite possibly a wolves form of a wet willy, trying to get the girl to look at him. He growled again, none threatening, even as the man-wolf some part of connor thought, recognising his scent from the attack site, said "because he is human, and you are not. We don't kill the innocent, young one" The man kept his voice low-perhaps the medic wouuldn't even register what was said, "Taking a life is no easy thing, young one. Find your anchor" Anchor? Just what did that mean? "Find the thing that keeps you grounded, and do it now." For a moment, Connor thought back to the fight. He had felt out of control, wild, the scent of blood driving him crazy, right up until the moment he had seen her. And then it was like being hit with a tone of bricks, freezing him, even as he had seen her change and he had just charged in, seeking to attacking the wolf, and protect the girl. Was that what this man meant? Yet why did that leave him as he was? He looked up at the girl, his gaze unblinking.
