What was a kid doing here all alone? Probably visiting a dying relative or something. The staff at the front desk hadn't even noticed him walking in. Fact was, the innocent looking blond boy had been stealing surgical tools from the operating room. Who couldn't use a good scalpel or three? Besides, if he didn't end up needing them, he could hawk them for money. The kid didn't really need money, seeing as he stole everything anyway, but he often gave what little money he came across to those who needed it more than he did. Right now, he was mostly just looking to get out quickly before anyone noticed the supplies were missing, when he heard some commotion at the entrance to the ER. A couple of bloodied teenagers were hurried into the hospital on stretchers. Linus didn't mind the sight of blood, so he stood back and examined them for a while. They looked like they'd been attacked by some sort of animal. Strange, he thought. Animal attacks seemed to be getting pretty common these days, and he didn't even frequent the hospital much. He knew the city was rife with werewolves and other nefarious creatures, but for whatever reason it looked to him that their most recent victims was a bunch of conventionally attractive teenagers. There were a lot of those in this town, that's for sure... "Hey, kid. You shouldn't be here unattended..." The voice of a tall, gruff looking security guard caught Linus's attention. This wasn't good. If they found out that he'd come here alone, he'd be caught in no time. Linus stammered out "I-I have t-t-to leave...", his distinctive Scottish accent making the guard do a double-take. The guard fiddled with the syringe full of tranquilizers at his belt, looking the blond kid over carefully. "Wait a second. Ain't the orphanage looking for you, little boy?"
