Tommy was semi-caught off guard when Cici was still waiting in the main lobby of the Poke Center, though he doubted it was directly related to him, and it took him a second to answer the question, which he did while having Epsilon taken care of. Then he took a deep breath before starting. "First you accused me of coming to take you away, then said 'You came for me this time. But would you keep helping me in a year's time? Five years? If anything happened to me then, would you even know? Or care? Humans are fickle beings. I've been let down once. I won't let it happen again.' It didn't click right away given the state I was in, and lord knows I'm still tired as hell, but eventually I realized that you must have had a good friend leave you for some reason." The nurse brought back Epsilon's pokeball and Tommy took it with a thanks before facing Cici.

"I don't need to know the specifics of what happened, or even who it was. But I do want YOU to know is that you are my friend. We may not always be able to travel together, and that we may take a different path in life as we grow as trainers and people, I will ALWAYS be willing to help you however I'm able to and I promise you that, alright?"
