"Heyyy, Tora," Juana said, turning away from the weeping girl. "You, uh, remember Butch, right? That one Granbull? Well, as it turns out, just literally the day after we get here, the fella goes missing. And la pobrecita here's pining for her dog."

Bounsweet gave a concerned glance over to Penny.

"Now, I'm not quite sure how dangerous it is for big bulldogs in the forest. I doubt Butch would get eaten by, like, a Comfey or something. But I'm not sure if I can sleep tonight with an unresolved conflict like this."

Juana shrugged. "I really should, though. All these stories about cute cuddly fairies hypnotizing and draining strength and all sort of unpleasant things... I'll need to be alert."

Granted, Juana liked to joke about getting mauled by a Togepi or a Comfey, but she learned that the locals took this whole fairy business seriously. So she didn't want to search for the lost dog unprepared.

Juana turned back to Penny. "Look, I'll help you find Butch, 'kay? I'm gonna have to go in the morning, though; it's apparently really--"

Penny broke into tears.

"Ay, caramba. Uhh..." Juana stammered, shaking her hands. "I'll wake up first thing in the morning and go find Butch???"

Juana gave a nervous glance to Tora.
