I liked the hide format you used for your character, so I hope you don't mind if I used it too! Also, as soon as the others get their characters in, I'll throw up an IC post.
Name: Garik Antocha Age: 27 Gender: Male
Garik is a very serious looking individual, rarely betraying any kind of emotion past anger. Physically he is a thin, slender young man who is pushing the maximum height authorized by the Imperial pilot corp. His most striking feature are his eyes, which have often been described as intense if not inquisitive. Finally, in keeping with military standards, he keeps his hair cut short and his face clean shaven.

Garik is a hard worker and an intellectual. It's what helped him become an above average starfighter pilot, because while he lacked a natural talent for flying, he made up for it by spending every waking moment training in the simulators or learning about his craft. But one thing he's always struggled in is combat outside a starfighter. He's never been able to perfect his marksmanship with a blaster or make any real gains when it comes to his physique. In addition, Garik has some deep rooted issues stemming from the sudden lose of his father, issues that will sometimes hamper his ability to think straight.

Garik lives by a sense code of honor instilled by his father at an early age, one that emphasises selfless service, personal courage and moral integrity. This will sometimes clash with Imperial doctrine, as he has a hard time placing the mission first and sacrificing his comrades, and is reluctant to follow through on orders he deems morally questionable. However, at the end of the day, Garik is a soldier, and will typically follow any order given to him. The death of Garik's father also left a serious impact on him. In his mind, he needed to honor his memory by following in his footsteps, and became obsessed with making his dead father proud of him by tirelessly dedicating himself to the Imperial Navy. During this time, Garik also became increasingly more distant while he toiled over his studies. He shut his family and friends out. He gave up the pursuit of happiness, robbing him of a normal childhood. He bottled his emotions up and became distant, growing up to become an austere, introverted young man and leading him to lash out at others, sometimes unreasonably. It wasn't until recently, when Garik began to fly, that he found his escape.

Garik was a Generational. His father had died fighting Seperatists during the Clone Wars, his mother had been a nurse in the Republic Medical Corps, and his ancestors before him had a long and steeped history of serving in the Republic Navy. In addition, Garik was a native of the planet Anaxes. He had been raised on a world where the Empire was seen as peacekeepers and hailed as heroes by the people. Naturally this, combined with his ancestral history, inspired Garik to follow in his family's footsteps. His performance in the Imperial Sub-Adult Group and cadets reflected this desire, though it came at a cost. While other children lived a life of imaginary adventure outdoors, Garik spent much of his free time in deep study at home, and largely lived a solitary life, his only friends being the protocol droids his mother would use to tutor him. While Garik ultimately aspired to be the captain of his own ship, because of his high marks in the Imperial Academy and the demand for high rate pilots in the face of a growing rebellion, he was enrolled against his wishes in the Tir flight school onboard the Star Destroyer Inflexible. Luckily, from the moment he first stepped into the cockpit of a real starfighter, he was hooked. No longer was his free time spent nose-deep in his academic studies, but instead in the training simulators of a TIE/IN starfighter. He thoroughly enjoyed the experience of being a starfighter pilot, so much so that when an opportunity to transfer out of flight school and into the command crew of a Star Destroyer finally presented itself to Garik, he denied the chance to continue his career in the Imperial pilot corp.
