Helena realized her question might not have been the best to ask.  This must've been the girl Neric spoke of earlier.  The friend they lost was very important to them.  She internally cursed herself for bringing up a bad topic.  "I'm sorry, I shouldn't have asked that," she said.  Helena thought for a moment and added, "Well, having Neric out like this seemed to be your uncomfortable zone, right?  I think she would be very proud seeing you two out in the open like this."  She didn't know the girl they lost personally and couldn't know if her words held any truth, but it seemed like they could.  If the girl was so close to these two to make them react this way when mentioned, she would have to be proud of their newfound openness.
