While Serge’s eyes were on his book, his ears were listening to the conversations within the bar. Some men were pissed off at their wives while others were depressed that they were single. A few women laughed and joked about work while others just spent their time downing drinks and guzzling food before throwing a pathetic amount on the table and stumbling out. The chatter of the waitresses seemed to be rather normal for a food establishment until he overheard a blonde waitress tell an older woman, “Damnit, Lucy beat me to it. He is so hot it’s unbelievable!” His eyes rolled slightly as he read his book. He wasn’t here to be stared at but compared to the rest of the individuals in the bar; he couldn’t help but feel a bit of a swelled head knowing he was a good looking guy in a not so good looking place. It was probably a nice change for the staff members. However the rambling of the waitress was enough to make him move in a bit of an uncomfortable fashion and it wasn’t until Lu arrived and provided him with water, silverware and a menu before he felt like he could relax. Probably because he had something else to listen to other than the ramblings of the crazy blonde that happened to be nearby and speaking loud enough to echo into his ear drums. “Professional even with me?” He questioned, his blue eyes peering over the top rim of this rectangular glasses as his lips curled into a small smirk. “I am surprise, and slightly impressed.” He marked the page in his book and closed it with a thump before placing it on the table. “I honestly thought you would just pretend like I was not here or have someone else wait on me. Do not tell me you have started enjoy being around me.” He said with a chuckle as he picked up the menu keeping his glasses on as he did so. “Because that might just make my job easier and I do not know if I can handle that.” The chuckle echoed again as he glanced over the menu. “Are there any specials I should know of?”
