Connor
"How many times can a life change, in one night?"

[@Vicier]

Kaylee. He clasped the name in his mind like it was a life line, a perserve saving him from drowning. Curling his fingers around hers, feeling like he was anchoring himself as he did so. Kaylee. He wasn;t going to let her out of his sights, at least not tonight. He didn't think he could stand that, not after everything, not after finally finding her, holding her, kissing her. To say goodbye...to let her go...simply wasn't going to happen. It would hurt too much...but he wasn't foolish. He knew she'd have to go home, to her family, but maybe...maybe....maybe she'd stay with him, if he could a place? He very well couldn't stay camped out in the woods, and it seemed that he finally had some roots to plant. With Kaylee. As the man told them to hop to it, to come and meet the others, and perhaps get some answers, Connor looked to Kaylee, simply trying to take in everything about her. From her eyes, to the very fact that she was wearing a too large for her jacket, no doubt because she had changed her shape too...oh. Flustered a moment, Connor looked away, hoping to god no one could tell where his thoughts had led, however briefly. It seemed foolish to be flustered over such, given everything, yet he was. He tried to compose himself, even as Quinton spoke about telling their families. Connor didn't have any. With his mother long dead, and his father killed in the attack that had changed Connor, he hadn't had any younger siblings, let alone any aunts or uncles. His grandparents were long dead as well. Suddenly remembering the pink haired girl, remembering her saying her last name, Connor stopped, more then likely pulling Kaylee to a stop as well, as he refused to let go of her hand. Maybe he did have some long lost family out there...he glanced to the man, hesitating. It didn't seem like a wise decision to disobey, but he needed to know the answer...He almost stumbled as he started to walk again, seeing a doctor carrying the pink haired girl, Connor let his gaze follow them, in the direction they apparently needed to go, the man leaving them to approach a small group of adults. Glancing to Kaylee, he saw her expression and wondered just who she was worried about calling. Were her parents strict? He hesitated, "Is everything okay, Kaylee?" He asked softly, for the moment his own mini dilema forgotten in the face of what was worrying her.
