Waking with her alarm, Leisy yawned and slid off the rudimentary bed and dressed quickly. She’d set her alarm early with the intention of giving her Pokemon a quick training session before the day started, and she intended to make the most of the time she had before Ella woke up. There would be no more one-hit-KO’s, or at least not because Leisy failed to train her Pokemon. First, though, she had to get to know her Ghastly. 

[color=gray]“C’mon out, Gastly,”[/color] Leisy said, releasing the purple Ghost-type. Doing a three-sixty, the Gastly grinned a fanged smile at its trainer and darted up and down in the air like an eager puppy. [color=gray]“Hi Gastly,”[/color] Leisy said with a hesitant smile. So this was the Pokemon that had chosen her as his trainer? Other than the fact that the Gastly seemed to be quite happy and mischievous, Leisy didn’t know what to think of the Ghost-Poison dual, which prompted her to pull out her Pokedex and start reading.

[indent][b]Gastly is largely composed of gaseous matter. When exposed to a strong wind, the gaseous body quickly dwindles away. Groups of this Pokémon cluster under the eaves of houses to escape the ravages of wind.[/b][/indent]

[color=gray]“Huh,”[/color] Leisy said, frowning as she studied the Pokemon’s entry, [color=gray]“Immune to Normal, Fighting, and Ground-type moves? I guess that makes sense,”[/color] she said, looking up at the Pokemon who was now doing slow backflips in front of hair while hanging its tongue out crazily. While she’d heard of studies on Ghost Pokemon, she’d never really looked into them, hence the general unfamiliarity with Ghost-types. The Ghastly, however, looked like it liked her enough that she didn’t see any reason to worry. [color=gray]“Tyrus. That’s what I’m going to call you,”[/color] Leisy said with a faint smile, [color=gray]“after the ancient city of Tyre that was renowned for its purple dye.”[/color]

Grin widening slightly, the Gastly drifted forward and stuck its tongue out. Leisy moved back a split-second before the gaseous Pokemon could lick her, uttering a tiny yelp of surprise. [color=gray]“Tyrus! No licking!”[/color] Leisy said, eyes wide as she held her hands  up in surrender. The Gastly retracted its tongue, spinning around and grinning but calming down. Smiling, Leisy pulled out a box of berries from her bag. [color=gray]“Do you like berries?”[/color] she asked the Gastly who grinned in response, darting its tongue out briefly with a grin.

[color=indianred]“You got yourself a partner for your walkabout,”[/color] Shanae said with a grin, pulling out a Pokeball and releasing her Jigglypuff. [color=indianred]“Amatorius, Raven,”[/color] Shanae said, gesturing at the boy next to her for the pink Pokemon, [color=indianred]“Raven, Tori.”[/color]

A cool misting on the tip of her nose prompted Shanae to look up at the sky. It had started to rain very lightly, collecting the smoke into the droplets and escorting them into the drains and thus lightening up the air. Taking a deep breath, Shanae savored the humid but freshening air, delighted that it wasn’t too heavy as to dissuade travel. [color=indianred]“So, where to now?”[/color] Shanae asked. [color=indianred]“Straight ahead? ”[/color]
