I mostly asked because I figured Abel and Hibiki (the two protagonists) would be involved in either the Mon Alliance or just that huge war in and of itself, since Abel is the King of Bel (basically YHWH's rival (and predecessor) as well as the leader of demons similar to how Lucifer is in Nocturne) and Hibiki is the Administrator of the Akashic Record. (or at least killed two.) And Soul Hackers involves demons being turned into data and back, so it seemed an obvious fit. 
Plus, Skill Crack gives a little more viability to a demon summoner character.
