- Set Harth, District 14 -
[@Lmpkio][@VitaVitaAR][@Raineh Daze] Well then, it seemed everything was sorted. These two would willingly follow him, and considering the nature of such heroic characters, would most likely fight to protect him should anything dangerous show up. All he had to do was not kill any puppies in their presence and he had basically just secured a free ride home. Assuming, of course, that there were any people with the required technical skills in the city, or even the rest of this world. As he was scanning the city for the best direction to go in, of course, that was when fate decided to have everything go wrong. Perhaps he'd grown overconfident, because somehow Vader had picked up on his presence. Worse yet, somehow, Vader had recognised him. How was that even possible? Set cursed his own hubris as he quickly considered what to do, because even now he could feel the ice-cold aura of the Sith Lord growing ever closer. This unfortunate event had left Set a shade paler as he looked about, suddenly frantic. "Yes, yes, sausages. I'm sure they.... damn. Right. Well, I suppose..." Glaring at a random passerby as if that person in particular was responsible for his sudden predicament Set quickly set about saving his ass from the incoming mess. On any other planet he would have just zapped off into hyperspace, content to lay low on some fringe world for a hundred years or so. Most enemies could be defeated simply by outliving them. But here he had no access to space ships, let alone a hyperdrive, and even if he had both he had no idea where he was. It could take years for him to properly chart his surroundings and make his way back to 'civilised' space. He was excellent at hiding, but even if he did manage to re-mask his presence before Vader got here he doubted it would work for long. Vader had a reputation of ruthless efficiency, and he might just murder his way through the town to make the number of living suspects smaller. No, this was not a confrontation he could avoid, or at least for long. So if he couldn't avoid a confrontation, he would need to ensure that it occurred on his terms. He might be facing a Sith Lord proper, but he could easily turn his newfound allies against Vader, and certainly even Vader could be overwhelmed. Especially with prep. Steeled by the creation of a plan, he turned to his allies, his expression having lost his previous mocking smile. "So believe me when I say that I have the means of knowing when danger approaches. And it's approaching, quite rapidly, in the form of an incredibly dangerous man. You'll know him when you see him. He has the means of tracking us down, too, and he's intent on finding me for reasons I'd rather not find out, especially as this fellow is a merciless killer. I know he's responsible for more than one genocide, and he's personally killed hundreds, if not thousands." Giving a grim look to ensure the importance of his words was not lost on his companions, Set then quickly fished a series of odd-looking amulets and trinkets out of his pockets. "I'll need you two to evacuate civilians from this area as quickly as you can. When he gets here he'll not hesitate to use anyone here against us, or murder anyone that gets in his way. In the meantime, I'll prepare a little trap, to make sure he doesn't do anything dangerous." Not having time to explain in further detail what they were up against Set simply dived into his preparations, hoping that his companions were as competent as they appeared. And wondering whether that armour would hold up against a lightsaber. Retrieving a long stick of chalk he began writing runes of some kind on the ground, tracing odd symbols and pentagrams. If there was one thing he knew about Vader, it was that he was not a practitioner of Sith Sorcery. All reports showed him using powerful but immediate combat powers, specifically mastering telekinesis and his own brand of lightning. As such using some of the older arts, gleaned from ancient holocrons and tablets, he might be able to catch the Sith Lord off guard. After all, many of the newer Sith had disregarded the ancient arts. But such things required preparation, and meant he didn't have the time to find a more suitable battleground. He'd just have to hope it was enough.
