The Kingdom of Greece watches this new crisis in the Balkans with severe concern, having hoped that the agreements with the Ottoman Empire would've ensured a lasting peace and an end to the rivalry between the Imperial and Royal Government and the Russian Imperial Government in the region, however clearly this is not the case. 

The Kingdom of Greece had signed a treaty of defensive alliance with the German Empire and is engaged in the cooperation agreement regarding the construction of the Adriatic railroad with the Austro-Hungarian government, thus this conflict, in regard to our direct allies, and the constructed route of the Adriatic railroad in the Sanjak of Novi Pazar has direct impact upon the foreign policy of Greece. 

Because of this, we wish to make the following statement: Whilst we currently do not regard the hostilities started, and the German warning as a direct attack upon the German Empire, and thus a case of alliance, should either our direct interests come into conflict with the warring parties, or should there be a direct attack upon the German Nation we will overthink our position, and reevaluate the situation and regard it as a case of alliance accordingly.
