[color=7CFC00]Since it might take some time to get the second part of the intro post worked out, I went ahead and posted the first part; so you guys can kinda get into character and get a feel for what the place is like before I start getting things ready for the next. It'll also kinda make the transition easier (for me) to get us into the Duke's chamber and get things rolling on that particular front. 

Figure I shouldn't have to say this, but please don't post until the second post is complete.

Part of the reason I posted that, too, was to show you guys that I've been doing my best to get things started. I know there are some hiccups, here and there, in the post; so please forgive any mistakes I've made during the process. 

I don't know how aware you guys are about the current state of things on my end...but they haven't been easy and I'm not exactly in the best state-of-mind, as of late. So, I'm hoping you'll all be patient with me while I struggle through getting my head together, juggling life and trying to lay the groundwork for us to tell an awesome story.
