So far my biggest problem is with how many super powerful things that have been introduced. 


First we had the maidens. They were a bit out there but at least they spent a good part of season three explaining what they were and how they fit in. From here we can guess the main villains want these powers and by getting them they could take over the world. Done. Plot established.


Then, we got the silver eyes. Ummm… what? Where did that come from? We had no mention of it (well, we had an off hand comment by Ozpin in THE FIRST EPISODE!) And because of that we were all thinking Ruby would be a maiden since that was the thing the season had been building and not Deus Eye machine. 
But since then they've played it down as more a super form rather than something like the maiden powers. Alright, good guys have an advantage now without altering the evil plot too much, I can live with that.


And now, we have the relics. Four items of power that could change the world by whoever has them...WHY!?! Why add these triforce rip offs when we already had the maidens? Beacon still could have fallen. Eliminate Ozpin and throw the world into such discord they don't see what's happening. You don't have to say there's treasure below it! Just make it the bad guys new base while they search for the maidens. Want them to attack the other schools? Easy, have the maidens hide in them and bunker down until the good guys have a plan.


I do still like the show, but they keep throwing powerful legendary shit into the mix that it's getting hard to follow. Just pick something and build upon that rather than trying to wow us with new artifacts and what not.
