To answer your questions yes there is a choice on town or the complex. If your human will be in the town, your human will know about supernaturals and escaped with them from the hotel then followed the vampire Nixon to the town, so depending on what your character thinks of them is whether he wants to train to become a hunter or not.
Most of the answers should be in the first post, but I'm not sure if I was clear on it so if it isn't I'll change it so it's easier to understand.
