Certainly the world knows nothing more dangerous than the trade of an adventurer and especially a monster hunter. These hired blades risk their lives daily for personal gain, or perhaps more altruistic reasons entirely, but in the end the risk always remains: What if something goes wrong? That is what this group of hunters got a grim reminder of first hand... Their mark, the elusive creature of the night known to men as the "Wolfwing", turned the tables on them and imprisoned them in a show of man-like cunning. Will they ever see their friends and family again?
Hello, it's still me! To those new here, this game tells a story of a group of hunters who chose to chase a bounty on a powerful creature, only to find themselves hunted by their presumed prey. Now that they've been captured, what remains is to skedaddle the hell out of the creature's lair... hopefully in one piece by the end. This will not be a long-term RP, instead ending as soon as the (still alive) characters have either successfully escaped or everyone has been mauled to death. As those joining me from the interest check (hopefully) remember, the general idea will be a little something like this: The group (you, the players) were on the hunt for a creature that has been terrorising local cattle and farmers alike, leaving only a bloody mess behind. Eyewitnesses reported seeing "a giant wolf-like creature with wings", and thus came the name "Wolfwing". A high bounty was placed on the creature's head, but few dared attempt tracking, let alone slaying it: 'Ordinary' werewolves were a challenge enough and one that had wings? No deal. You did not turn this down however, as you trusted in your skills. In the end, said trust was misplaced, and you awaken in an abandoned stone-walled cell with well kept iron bars blocking your way out. The creature was much more intelligent than anticipated. Now then, as per usual a player needs a character. Background material will be expanded upon in the coming days, but I guess letting people get to work earlier does not hurt. Thus, I present to you, the Character Sheet!
Name: Age: Gender: Personality (keep it short and simple): Appearance (upon starting the hunt): Favoured weapon (Examples include Sword & Shield, Dual Swords, Lance, Hammer, Maul, Greatsword, Bow, Bowgun, etc.): Notable skills (What do you excel at, if anything in particular?): Notable weaknesses: Background:
And here's some information about the background. Do remember it will be expanded upon!
While freelance hunting certainly is a thing (and a popular option at that), some people prefer the ease of gathering company, the sharing of tips and other general benefits that come with the membership. These are but a few examples, you can also create your own! Just tell me what you have in mind and I might add it into the world.
A quite secluded group of people that follow some mysterious "Brother Moth-caller". The order offers quite possibly the best training for dealing with creatures of the night and known for their famous utility belt that holds anything you might need for putting ghosts, vampires, ghouls, zombies and other undead to rest.

A guild that specialises in hunting monsters for bounties. The guild is the largest organisation of the realm, spanning through the entire known world. Each of the guild halls is led by a democratically elected Guildmaster, one of whom is chosen as the Grandmaster. The guild has very extensive resources and has been given the responsibility to pay up the bounty of monster kills so that the crown does not have to bother setting up stations across the country when guild halls already exist.

Do you happen to be familiar with the Monster Hunter franchise? If so, great! You now know. If not, let me try my best. Most of the fighting still takes place with melee weapons and bows, although gunpowder has been invented and thus given birth to peculiar weapons such as the "Gunlance" and the "Bowgun". The former is quite literally a gun built into a lance that uses the hot air blast instead of bullets as an additional way to deal damage and Bowguns are something one might get if they cross-bred a musket and a crossbow. They eat many different kinds of ammunition, but are only accurate to certain lengths.

Magic is a thing. It is not a very popular thing though... it's rare and scary, thus widely seen as witchcraft that gets hunters after you and you onto a pile of burning logs. Not very pleasant, so anyone with said powers should keep them hidden to the best of their ability. If your character knows magic, do mention it in the Notable skills and specify what type of things they can do with it.
On a closing note, the group size I am aiming is between three and five, so there's still space left! If this interests you, don't hesitate to pop in!
