Cecilia's subtle apprehensions were allayed for the time being as it appeared as though there would be no fighting today. Chances were fair that things wouldn't have gotten out of hand, yet she would find herself breathing easier as she walked along with them to the fire pit. If something had happened to anyone, especially James, she couldn't begin to imagine what she would do. Now at least, she could contemplate lighter matters, like what sort of activity awaited them at the pit.
