Of course, it was impossible for all of his family to turn up, especially when it was so big. Big enough to fill several rooms, in fact, and that was not mere hyperbole, because he himself had witnessed such during one of their larger reunions. Maybe ten or so could find the time to turn up, lured in by the festivities that Beacon was hosting, but not all of them. His cuddly relatives could possibly be busy with other things in their lives!

He wondered if it was a good idea for Varius to put the kettle on. He wasn't actually a hundred percent sure they wouldn't barge in, so it would be better safe than sorry to start preparing the tea right? But what if it were one of his tea purist cousins who'd come along? That wouldn't be too good for his teammate. What made a tea 'pure' enough? Proper method of boiling? The adherence to the necessary rites? Green tea? Black tea? Herbal infusions (eugh)? And if they hadn't chosen to turn up, it would be pretty problematic to get Varius to go to all the trouble of making tea just for nobody to come and drink it.

Beyond them, of course.
