Considering Bonesword can grow these plant constructs, I had thought It make more sense he was actively creating Charlie from inside the Lobby, because saying he burrowed into the castle from the void makes the least sense of any explanation we can think of unless it can fly.

[@The 42nd Gecko] Charlie certainly isn't on the Shadow List, but since creating plant constructs is an established power of Boneswords, it doesn't really need to be if its something made by him. That it appears to be something PRE-MADE is perhaps an issue, but i'll leave that to [@KoL] and [@TheWindel] to deliberate on.
