[@Burning Kitty]Nope, even custom suits when new come with communicators, it'd be up to them if they discarded them later on for whatever reason. Maybe they lost it, maybe it was broken. New custom suits are kept with the students, and are not managed by the staff as a test of responsibility and personal choices.
