Nathan was relieved that Jess wasn't upset with him for running off. "Yeah, I'm ready!" he said cheerfully and he walked over towards the check out line. However, he froze as he saw a familiar pair of girls. One was a brunette and the other was a blonde. "I just feel like Nathan has been avoiding me lately..." the brunette whined. "Shit... I totally forgot that Rachel said that she was going to go shopping today..." Nathan panicked for a moment. He did his best to calm down. He was wearing a wig and a decent amount of make up. She and Vanessa probably wouldn't be able to recognize him even if they did turn around and saw him. He had seen a dozen of people that he knew while crossdressing, but Rachel was probably the last person he would want to catch him. He took a deep breath and tried to act like nothing was strange or odd. But he did make a motion toward them for Jess so that she would know that they were here too. And while he was there, he could not help but eavesdrop on their conversation either. "Do you think I should talk to him about it?" "I don't know, maybe? Guys hate talking about stuff like that though." "It's just that I really like him... I really want it to work out between us." "Maybe, he's just not the right guy for you." Nathan was starting to feel bad for listening in on their conversation. He wanted to chime in and say that it wasn't her fault and that he was just being a jerk... But that was inappropriate. Instead, he bit his tongue and thought about his relationship with Rachel. Should he put more effort into it? She was a nice girl who really seemed to care about him, even if she was a bit air-headed. They were only together for a short while... so maybe he was judging her too quickly. Maybe they could learn to get along if they stayed together.
