Alrighty...so in this scene, Kelly does hear [i]something[/i] coming from the direction of the restrooms on the far side of the diner  (shortly after her tirade with the waitress & while the police officer is taking a statement from her), but she isn't sure what it is exactly. 

But don't expect the cop to let her up and leave so easily in the midst of taking her info...
