The weapon problem solves itself since I'm planing on my guy to be a geologist, since we are exploring stuff like planets and random rocks in space I'd think that a guy who knows his way around nearly any mineral, metal, and rock we find would be helpful. Plus the idea of a giant, intimidating, cyborg who [i]isn't[/i] a badass one man army to be pretty fun. In a pinch, he'll just use a mining laser or space age pickaxe.
