Archangel kept vaporizing more of the mutants as they showed up, and only one of them managed to get a good shot at her, making a bullet pierce through her forearm. It was bleeding heavily, which she only managed to stop with a heavy bandage. It didn't stop her from being able to keep fighting however, taking out five more mutants as they came into her sights. When she heard warnings of the nightkin, she smirked. Most everyone was relying on just their eyesight to spot for them, but thanks to her Sensors, Archangel was able to detect the stealth boys when they were activated. Using her VATS, Archangel continued to lay hot lasers into the enemies, superheating their flesh and cause it to boil and bleed them to death. When she saw two nightkins trying to get past her, she aimed her gauntlet at them and used her VATS for the most optimal target; left leg for 85% hit chance. She launched it, watching it fly into the invisible duo. It did miss the nightkins, only for it to land between them so they were still caught in the explosion. One of the nightkins were killed while the other one was crippled, which allowed Lucy to finish it off with a few bursts from her Disintegrator.

Archangel heard some maniacal laughter over the comms and immediately she knew it was "Whisper", their psychotic little scrapper. Unlike the others (Aside from the Golem) Whisper didn't lay down fire and instead went into melee combat, stabbing her enemies with impunity. But unlike the Golem, Whisper was not clad in Power Armor, so that seemed like a really bad idea to Archangel. She didn't have time to worry though when Deathstroke alerted them of the Wanamingo. [b]"What's a Wanamingo...?"[/b] Archangel soon got a chance to see for herself however, when from the rubble her sensors detected three of the beasts run towards her. They looked like giant mouths with legs and tentacles, not entirely unlike a centaur, but these things were in a category on their own in terms of freakishness. Archangel fired some shots at them, but even when all nine of her laser beams hit a single wanamingo, it didn't even so much as growl in pain! Archangel had to deplete an entire Microfusion Cell before one of the beasts fell, and that still left two that were coming dangerously close to her. 

She calmly loaded another one and fired off a few shots before they were upon her. She rolled out of the way, careful to make sure she didn't leave herself exposed to the super mutants who were slowly beginning to retreat. She tried to fire another shot when one of the mutated monsters trapped her rifle with it's tentacle, forcing her and the beast into a struggling match. She conceded when the other wanamingo was running around to flank her. She ducked, causing the beast to fly over her. When it crashed into a wall she took out her Compliance Regulator; while far from being a "Non-lethal" weapons in her hands, the main use with the Compliance Regulator was to paralyzes targets in the event that they cannot simply kill them, such as people that needed to be brought alive or each other if for some reason they can't control themselves. She only fired one shot at the wanamingo that had her laser rifle and caused it to fall over, it's body stunned. She than loaded a round into her gauntlet and punched the beast right above it's mouth, sending the explosive round into it's head. It exploded spectacularly. Before the other wanamingo could get a chance to resume it's attack, Archangel also paralyzed it and killed it via manually inserted explosive round.

After taking care of the two monsters, Archangel noticed a sudden quieting of gunfire. She deduced that the super mutants had begun to retreat, but no doubt they'll come back in greater numbers. The crew would need a better position than here, preferably with the help of some proximity explosives and automated turrets. Deathstroke's voice crackled over the comms as he began to dole out orders. Their target was a high-rise apartment; unlike the rubble around it, it was only few standing buildings in sight. Bear, Golem, Ginger, and Phoenix would form the vanguard that would distract and occupy the attention of the local Super Mutants. In the meantime, she and the others would sneak towards the apartments and see if there was anything they could scavenge in there. Afterwards Deathstrole and Whisper would cover the high ground as she and Winter gave support to the vanguards. [b]"Sounds good to me."[/b]

Deathstroke than made a quick reminder of their mission. They were to find the Space Needle, which is the landmark that the vault is located at. But there was a catch; she couldn't go. As one of the few Vault dwellers in this group, she was the only one most susceptible to FEV that was inside. Archangel shuddered at the thought of getting dunked in the stuff. During Basic Training she and about twenty other vault dwellers went through a "Simulation" that killed half through shock, and causing the rest to quit on the spot or as soon as they recovered. The only reason she didn't was because she blacked out the entire time and didn't know what happened until she saw the holotape. She never knew she could scream like that. [b]"Roger roger..."[/b] With their objectives set, Archangel reloaded her weapons and followed Deathstroke to the apartments.
