Steady...just need a calm hand...and to take this shot before the wind changes too much... Eric lay in wait from a condemned building, running final mental calculations and adjusting his aim to account for how outside forces would change the bullet's course. He adjusted the scope slightly left once more to account for a slight increase in wind speed. Once he checked, double-checked and was certain of his shot, he took in one final breath and another few seconds. Just had to make certain the execution played out accordingly. He exhaled and pulled the trigger, bracing against the recoil as he had grown used to from use over time. Once the rifle came to rest again, he used the scope to peek straight back at his target. A clean shot, right to the temple, and the target was already on the ground and bleeding by the time Eric focused back on him. Got him...if he's not dead now, that's not something he'll survive for long. Time to collect from Patch. Eric collapsed his rifle stand, slid his rifle back into his back holster and collected his stand before he sprinted out for the exit. He ran all the way down from the 15th floor to the basement, using a secret exit he scoped out the day before. He had it there in the event the cops arrived before he could make a clean break on the ground floor, and sure enough, he had to use it with sirens blaring and cops dashing in all directions. He proceeded to use the alleys as cover to make his way back to Hellhouse. I should be in the clear now...at least, out of the range of the police... Eric's eyes kept shifting occasionally, trying to pay attention as subtly as possible without drawing attention.
