I am pretty sure the dex is up to us to decide how literally are we taking it.
And as far as obedience goes, I think Hero said once that we can play it how ever we want. That we dont have to listen to the trainer if we dont want to. That we can try to run away, or make their lives harder.... *points to Kaiser Thore* He a level one and didnt listen to Rasa during the fight most of the time, and now as you can see even attacking his trainer. He has his reasons and logic to do so.

I like how Seth team: -Insert a team name here- is getting along.

We have the youngest fellow Zorua 10-11
Than we have Togepi with staff 12
And the oldest Shinx 15 He is basically going to be a older brother figure.

I cannot wait for Togepi to be lv5 and learn metronome. The potential Zorua will see in that move.
