History: Vance came to earth many years ago to investigate whispers of supernatural phenomenon, but while here he helped humans who had gained powerful abilities and were being experimented on, and thus breaking his sacred oath never to interfere with mortals. He has since been banished to Earth, never to return to the heavens.
