Yeah you know what forming characters off of what we know of each other's characters and ooc discussion about them sounds like the best way. Rather than trying to force already formed characters together in an awkward sort of way in order to create scenarios. Mostly Clara feels out of her element and stuck in a shell, and she's slowly venturing out of it. No doubt becoming a mermaid will help with that in someways, as well as her relationship with Emma, and maybe the eventual guy will also help bring her out of her shell. I'm going to have it so that Clara is interested in music (guitar playing) and science (particularly marine biology, her mother's career), so if that helps? And if drama unfolds on its own then it will.
