[b]Biography:[/b] A University of Chicago graduate, Gina's successful career as a novelist has made a name for herself as one of the preeminent speculative fiction authors of the 21st century. She's published numerous novels and short stories, typically dealing with the various forms of non-human life that could be encountered in the universe from other planets, extraneous dimensions and othersuch places. She has a reputation as an eccentric personality, being a public advocate for her belief that Earth has been frequently visited by non-Earthly life forms, a topic that has intrigued many of her readers and earned repudiations from the American scientific community about the 'fluffy fantastical tripe' they describe her work as. Gina's last publication [i]Solar Lunacy[/i] has left her in a bit of a creative rut, so she's been shuffling around trying to find inspiration for future stories. Intrigued by information she found out concerning the Roswell UFO Festival, Gina has embarked on another search for a creative wellspring. 

[b]Personality:[/b] Gina is easily enthused and frequently interested in the stories she finds around her. As a person she can be overwhelming to others at times, and despite personal setbacks is always ready to try, try again. She's terrible at recognizing personal space and social boundaries, and has a problem of flipping on a dime from venerating someone to despising them outright. Gina rarely holds grudges and can be extremely loyal, but is ditzy about common topics and practices due to her tendency to speculate wildly about normal situations. Creative, but inconsistent.

Gina's success as a person is grounded on what many still consider a fantastical belief. Despite this, Gina herself has been interested in extra/ultraterrestrial phenomena since she was a teenager and has written non-fiction pieces for several UFO magazines and websites in the past. She likes to keep her mind open about these phenomena and is innately curious about anything considering them. For [i]Solar Lunacy[/i] she researched for the book by interviewing SETI personnel and studying case reports of Bermuda Triangle disappearances. Gina takes her belief seriously, but doesn't close her view to a single idea or interpretation.

Gina is a relatively successful genre author and earns a fair paycheck from her published writings. She dresses modestly but isn't very frugal with money, leading her to spend more than is necessary on things she won't care about a week afterwards. For travel, she drives a beat up sedan, that being how she made her way to New Mexico. Otherwise, Gina always carries in her purse a worn smartphone, cosmetics, cigarettes and a journal for writing practice and notes.
