Playing Hearts of Iron 4, really fun strategy game that seems pretty realistic, like balancing their actual power rather than having Ecuador as powerful as China or something. I'm playing as a fascist United States who joins the axis and wishes to conquer all the Americas and than defeat Soviet Union once they have all that power. How realistic do you guys think Us could defeat all the Latin countries on it's own? I steamrolled Central America (after some slight trouble with Mexico) and am now in Columbia, which to me sounds reasonable although in real life they would have predicted this expansion and all teamed up at once as the steamroll got halfway, which would have given them better odds of surviving. at first I thought in real life they could send all their fleets to attack the mainland while my main army is storming Central America, but then I remembered the fleet is not fighting Japan here so has its full power off the shore, making it unrealistic they could do any attacks on the mainland in game or real life. Edit: half my forces defeated Canada while the other half is taking central and South America. My fleet is the only thing protecting the mainland besides a few marines. The Canada forces are returning to the mainland but won't stay long as they Willa invade across the Atlantic to help the axis in their desperate struggle. I think the axis looses like in real life every time unless you do something different than real history. Edit: Looking online, most think US would indeed win. Also saw a fun argument for what state would win if they all declared war on each other. Someone created this huge fanfiction on the answer to the question. XD
