The reason I don't think this is the case relies on the fact that we all finish everything else we have to do, and then other things we want to do on top of it. If it came down to "I don't have enough hours in the day," which was said even years ago, then life would begin to fall through the cracks in everything, not just online.
Aside from break a couple times, I haven't touched a video game for about half a year. I don't talk to my family as much as I want. I have to exercise because I don't have the teenage metabolism to keep me healthy anymore (I gained 15-20 pounds since starting college, about?). I have countless amounts of homework to do between three physics classes and two math classes. Most of the day from early/late morning to late afternoon is occupied by classes, I'm still working hard to try and cooperate with my financial aid office to get this loan I had to take out reduced to zero as soon as possible. Trust me, I'm always here when I can afford to be. I've already made sacrifices.
