[b]Personality:[/b] Meruem is a distant youth whose enigma tends to draw unwanted attention to himself. Oddly enough, its this adverse effect that garners a kinda charisma and intense atmosphere about him. Many will mention that he has the anti-hero vibe, appearing like a vigilante, silently executing, then vanishing like a phantom. Beyond his apparent brooding and distaste for others, its clear that he loves all Digimon and is far more willing to give them mercy then his own kin. And is often times the only way one may sneak a peek at his charming smile. Perhaps he could return to his encouraging and resolved past but its seems unlikely. 

[b]Backstory:[/b] Meruem visited the Digital World often with his elder brother, who through a mosaic of problem-solving, entered on accident. Stumbling onto the monsters but realizing that he was lucky enough to run into a friendly one made him realize he'd need to document his findings. So he did, for several months, before disappearing. Meruem, who was cleaning up his things after years of investigations had gone cold, stumbled upon those notes. The loss of his brother had made him emotionless and cold, but he taught himself to understand the mathematical equations. He, however was unable to enter the Digital World no matter what he tried. 

That was until he heard Hero's voice. The Digimon reached out to him, dragging him into the Digital World in some vanishing concept. It was later revealed that he had contracted helped from another to bring him into the Digital World. It was there that he received his brother's Digivice, befriended Hero, and along the way gathered a team of Digimon with their own equally appealing and saddening stories. His own goal is to find his brother, Haru, and bring him back home.

[b]Past:[/b] Hero waited for Meruem because he was told to by his elder brother. The once Tamer had promised to introduced him to a suitable partner if he only waited. However, that never happened and the older man had vanished. It wasn't until he had heard of the man's disappearance had he decided to act. He contracted the help of Wisemon and guided Meruem to the Digital World just to meet his promised partner. [/hider]

[b]Past:[/b] Samsara was a devout practitioner of his art. He battled other Digimon incessantly till he met his match and swore to come back stronger than ever to defeat him. It was a cruel twist of fate that his rival had met a merciless end to a Jokermon. Now Kotemon, aptly named Samsara by Meruem, seeks revenge for the slaying of his prodigious little brother: Musyamon.  [/hider]

[b]Past:[/b] Amnesia plagues this powerful Champion Digimon. Meruem found him pleasantly viewing the sky among a charred village. It wasn't until he came closer had he noticed tears falling from the Digimon's eyes. Oddly human in appearance, Meruem became intrigued and heard him out. Apparently, all his life he's been shunned and once he was pushed to the limits of emotional trauma, he blanked, and awoke to the charred village. He fears it was him. Meruem offers him a hand to join his group anyway. In order to help him overcome his past, Meruem renames him from Aegiomon to Aegis.[/hider]

Meruem, who just so happen to be nearby helped decimate the attacking Digimon and convinced Betamon to join his team. After hearing everyone's nicknames, the small Digimon requested one of his own.
