I understand that, but my intent was never to maim, or even kill. I trained to obtain a higher level of paitence and understanding, not so that I alone could take on any opponent I fought. While I was proud of the abilities and skills I had learned, I never really planned on using them. That day changed me, though. Now, especially with everything going on here, it makes me want to train and become stronger for different reasons. I understand what it means to hurt or otherwise kill to protect, including protecting myself. I still can't shake the feeling of having someone else's blood on my hands, though...
