Greetings and salutations. Name's Orwell, I'm new to the site but definitely not new to the roleplaying game, although it [i]has[/i] been quite a while. I've got about a decade's worth of writing experience under my belt, though with the writer's block hitting hard these days I've decided to try my hand at this once more. [i]Hopefully[/i], more practice'll restore me to my former glory.

Though I'm a lady, I'm fully capable of and enjoy writing male or female. I enjoy plot-building, world-building and inserting random twists in my stories to embroil my characters in more trouble and drama than they bargained for. I favor dark, gritty themes and as such, this isn't going to be all sunshine and rainbows. Quite the opposite, in fact. I'm looking for a partner who can give me at least two decently-sized paragraphs per post, and who writes creatively and descriptively at a (preferably) high casual to advanced level. I'm a firm believer in quality over quantity, clichéd as that might sound. If there is to be a romantic subplot between characters (I do admit I [i]am[/i] sort of a sucker for it), I'd prefer MxF (although I am open to others). All my stories will have adult content (note that I don't do pure smut!) which will include profanity and violence amongst others. I'm flexible, however, so if there's anything you're uncomfortable with, let me know and I'll see what I can do.

I'm currently preparing for a big move, I've got a house and a spouse to take care of, and my depression sometimes hits hard so things are going to be a little slow for the time being. I'll try my best to respond as often as possible, but at this point a swift response is (usually) not guaranteed. I ask only for patience and understanding, and will try my utmost to shoot you a message should I be unable to post for any amount of time.

I'm open to almost any genre you can think of, though my favorites are undoubtedly medieval/fantasy, science fiction, post-apocalyptic, dystopian, and horror. I'm also a fan of war-themed stories, so if you want something about space marines battling aliens against incredible odds, or an order of holy warriors against a plague of demons, I'm sold. I like action, epic battles, and anything you might see in a summer blockbuster. School for the gifted? Yup. Wealthy vampires surreptitiously running a city? Definitely. That being said, I'm also all for a sappy slice-of-life. Ex-spouses reunited, a soldier coming home, college friends...as long as the capacity for drama exists. I also have an avid interest in true crime and forensics, so anything involving detectives or FBI profilers would be [i]ah-mazing[/i]. Historical? Hit me up! World War II, Vietnam, the Roaring 20's...I love all that (I also love original universes based off of history). Message me, and we'll brainstorm!

I don't usually like roleplaying fandoms, but you may convince me. I don't usually roleplay canon characters either, so expect a wholly original character should you talk me into writing for an existing universe.
