Oh, and a quick guide to texan ranks:
Trooper- Cowboy/girl
Sergeant- Sherriff (alternaty just 'sarge.') Texan sergeants are never referred to as 'sir' or 'maam.'
Lieutenant- 'Loui(s)e' if they're yours, otherwise just 'sir' or 'maam.'
Captain- Trooper. This very often confuses off-worlders. Often referred to as 'Captain Troopers' to avoid confusion.
