[@Inner Demon] Maybe it's just because I'm a cat person, but having a permanent life companion attached to you before you can get to know said permanent life companion is a bit... sudden. I can imagine that would make it difficult for you to find a willing player.

Usually when people roll such symbiotic characters, they play both the host and the symbiote themselves as one combined character.
