He really hated when people were this close to him. It had been happening a lot today, too. First with Zoe just randomly picking him up, then being forced to get in a car with a stranger, then this. As soon as she moved back, he backed up several steps away, still looking like he'd run if he weren't so afraid they'd shoot him... or use their magic powers on him or something. However, some of them had instigated that he had magic of his own. This concept confused Linus, for whom the only magic so far had been that he hadn't died in the streets years back. He only wished that they were powerful enough to secure his freedom once again. But on second thought, Callie's bribe had been pretty promising... it had been a long time since he'd had a real place to stay, or any kind of security whatsoever. Anyway, the situation had delved into mild chaos. People were yelling, two more people had appeared out of nowhere, and it was just generally becoming highly stressful to remain here. Linus bit hard into his lower lip, trying to remain alert and conscious. Anxiety-inducing situations like this tended to be a red flag for seizures, and Linus had just about had it with embarrassing himself that way. The last thing he wanted was to become a liability for someone else. He was his own person, or at least that's how he'd always viewed and treated himself. Always on his own, never a simple chore for another to take care of. He felt better carrying his own weight, because that was what he was used to for the most part. He continued to shift and fidget uncomfortably, glancing back and forth at everyone who had gathered here. There were way too many of them. Did all of them live here? It doesn't really matter. He thought silently to himself, trying to force down his apprehensions.
