Yes, you are right, but at the same time, no, you are not.

When you are correcting someone, some harshness is needed as long as it is also with kindness. Sugar coating is not beneficial for either the Shooter or the Shootiee. Firstly, as nice as it sounds, real life does not work that way. People will not always be considerate when they stomp on your feelings. Now, thta does not mean that because of that, we have an excuse to do it. Secondly, some harshness goes a long way in making the person realize "Hey, I screwed up." That's probably the hardest part, and the most abused/misunderstood.
