Not making an excuse. Season One sucked COCK, there's no doubt about it. Their priorities were just garbage. Went for a romance ending no one would have cared about. Aang could have ended up single at the end of the original series and the show would still be great. I'm not sure why Toph did the things she did, and why she chose to be in exile in a swamp rather than be with her family in her final years. Everyone just seemed to accept it. I wonder if it's because she's thinking about Sokka, the one that got away xDDD

The simple things in life are often the most precious. I also think that Mako wasn't comfortable with a date that cost a lot of money, for obvious reasons. 

It wasn't intended to be a sympathy thing but I do see where you are coming from. But the point is that Mako's actions, with Korra's disregard for their relationship, does make her trigger it early. Mako IS a jerk, and he DID put a knife in all their flawless romancing thus far by being jealous of his brother spending time with someone that made him happy. He'd deserve a scalding tbh.
