Samantha stood, taking the bowl from his hands when he finished. "I'm sure it'll come back eventually. It just might take time." He looked comfortable, if very tired and when he asked for another blanket she nodded, "sure, I'll be right back then you can get more sleep." She put the dish on the kitchen table, then walked down a hall to grab another blanket from a closet. She returned to find him curled up and almost asleep. She hummed in understanding when he said the news interested him as put the second blanket over the first and let him tuck it around himself. She pointed to the hallway she had come from, "my room's down there, holler if you need something." She walked to the wall, switching off the living room and kitchen lights, switching on the light over the sink so she could wash the dishes. After several minutes she put the last dish on the drying rack and gathered up her folders, leaving him to sleep. She stayed up several hours due to the early time, music quietly playing near her bed and door halfway open. She eventually glanced at her clock, deciding it was definitely late enough to sleep. The next morning she woke up glaring at her clock which was currently humming quietly but was getting louder. Samantha deliberately pushed the button on the top, yawning into her pillow. She sat up, yawning again as she turned the clock off before it could hum again. She slipped on a pair of shoes, pulling her fingers through her hair in a vauge attempt to make the static go away. She stepped quietly to the living room, trying not to wake The Doctor if he was still asleep.
