[@MiddleEarthRoze] My original version didn't have an explanation because Jan-Hei didn't know how his father got the job. Nor did he know why they moved. With all these things you want changed or expanded on, I might as well have them settle in Kvatch instead of Riften. Problem is, I don't know how the local hierarchy works in Kvatch. I had originally told everything the character knew. Jan-Hei knew that he was hatched by a Hist tree because his parents told him. For all he knows, they could have just moved to get away from someone or escape an assassin or anything. Yeah, there were holes. There was also a reason for those holes. And it's not that I can't think of anything.

Sorry for ranting but I've been stressed all week. And the reason his skills are what they are is because sometimes people are naturally talented at something. Jan-Hei is a natural hunter.
