[@Holy Soldier] All you need to know is that in FFXV there are a LOT of aspects of modern civilzation (tv, cellphones, bustling cities similar to that of Tokyo, guns, cars, etc) but has a LOT of fantasy aspects (fantasy cities, mythical creatures, magic, swords, etc).

I do have to suggest that they not be SUPER different, so much so that they will stick out like a sore thumb from the rest of the characters. I would wait until the whole world and stuff is fleshed out before thinking of a character. ^^
