As for paladin, I figured it would sort of be like being in a covenant in Dark Souls? Follow the tenants of your patron deity and be rewarded. I didn't want to get into it too much without knowing the lore of Pariah, but I thought Thael might be in an order of Paladins dedicated to helping random groups clear dungeons or something like that.

If you don't like the sound of that he'll be a bounty hunter who exclusively goes after Monster/NPC targets.
