Since it was clear that the teacher didn't seem... well, interested in knowing who their new student was, Draco took a moment to look around the classroom in order to get an idea of who was there and whom he would want to partner up with, despite not knowing who they were or them him. 

His gaze seemed to linger on a girl that was standing out through; She seemed to be highly uncomfortable and alone... plus she was kind of cute. Taking a small breath and approaching her, Draco offered her his hand to shake as he introduced himself as "Draco Russ. Would you mind if claimed you as my partner?"
