Okay! Initial thoughts - good, great even. Ofromia is in the middle of an Art Deco & Jazzy "Age of Decodence", so Vanessa will fit in there pretty well once you arrive. I've got some other things bubbling away in my brain regarding what it's like, which'll probably make Vanessa even more comfortable there.

The tidally locked idea makes sense. It helps flesh out the relationship between the two peoples. I also need to go and re-watch [i]Girls und Panzer[/i]. A friend of mine introduced me to it (after realising that my home office desk is covered with little T-34-85's, some KV-1's, a KV-2 and there's a trio of Cromwells hidden [i]somewhere[/i] underneath one of these books somewhere...) and, so, yay, tankery. This also gives me some thoughts about what possible requests for help could stem from the planet, which could present an opportunity to visit the planet within the vague "going out and helping others" framework I'm using.
