Cecilly thinks she's more or less ordinary.  Sure, she's technically blind, though her power of spatial awareness means it's not immediately apparent.  She has her own apartment, and owns a dance studio where she teaches a number of classes.  But she is important in a way she doesn't realize, and her life is about to change dramatically.
